I started looking for something because I wanted to get hold of one of his books for my eldest daughter. I had read Ismo when I was a child - not all that long from when it came out. The idea of the teenage movement at the heart of it stuck with me - even after I had forgotten who had written it.

Linda Young produced a great summary of the Callendar series on her reading blog.
There is an informative obituary from his editor on the Indy site.
A. N Wilson wrote an elegant review of Friday's Tunnel for the Telegraph in 2007.
There is a nice little article recording his conservation activities on the Basingstoke Canal here and talking of his role in setting up the Farnham Trust here.
